Life Project for Youth (LP4Y) visit to EYFS: Friday 29 November

22 children and 8 adults from LP4Y visited our EYFS children last Friday. Our guests from Payatas and Tondo were welcomed by our Reception and Nursery students, and everyone enjoyed a fun morning playing and interacting in the EYFS area. Reception children prepared sandwiches and fruits, and Nursery served them to their new friends. It was a fantastic start to a new relationship for us. We provided them with boxes of school supplies, milk, nappies and toiletries, and look forward to welcoming them at BSM again. Thank you to Marie del Mundo for organising it all.

Delivery of Christmas Hampers by Year 7: Thursday 5 December

On Thursday morning, our Year 7 Service Learning Reps joined Mr McGee to deliver the 60+ Christmas Hampers that have been prepared by Year 7 to the Grade 6 students at Kalayaan Elementary School. The hampers looked amazing, thanks to the generosity of our Year 7 students and families. Thank you to everyone who got involved – you have made a real difference.

International Evening Meeting: Friday 6 December

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning at the launch meeting for International Evening 2020. The date for your diaries is Friday 7 February – one month after we start back in January. If you were unable to join the meeting, but are interested in finding out more about how you can get involved – with the food, performances, sponsorship, parade of nations, anything really – please have a chat with Emma Denton or Erwin Adevoso, or drop us an email. We are hoping to have as many different food stalls as possible, to reflect the truly international nature of our school, and to show off the famous BSM community spirit! Don’t worry if you are new to BSM, and haven’t been to International Evening before. Getting involved is a great chance to make new friends, and to connect with new people across BSM.

Christmas Show Donations: EYFS & KS1

A big thank you to everyone who contributed so generously after the Key Stage 1 Christmas show on Friday 29 November, and after the EYFS one on Wednesday. We were fortunate enough to collect Php26,202 last week, and Php21,140 this week. We are extremely grateful, and will make sure that the money goes to support our various BSM Service Learning partners this Christmas.

Christmas Jumper Day: Friday 6 December

Today also saw the launch of a new annual event – Christmas Jumper / Festive Accessories Day! Thank you to everyone who got in the spirit of the day, and helped to make BSM very colourful.
