It is with sadness that I write my final Lion’s Roar article to the BSM community this week. I feel privileged to have led the Senior School over the last six years and to have been part of this wonderfully unique community.
As I reflect back on the last 6-years, I am proud of all we have achieved and the wonderful young people and positive global citizens your children are becoming. We are not a community to ‘stand still’, always looking at ways we can improve and develop our programmes further, supporting the holistic development of your children, with well-being at the heart of our work. I take with me many great ideas and wonderful memories. I will genuinely miss BSM and a little bit of my heart will forever remain with the school and community. I will continue to follow BSM closely and look forward to hearing about the successes you and your children achieve over the next few years.
To those of you moving on from BSM, I wish you every success in your new schools and the countries you will be living in. For those of you remaining at BSM, I wish you all the very best for the academic year ahead. Wherever you are in the world, please encourage your children to take their academic studies seriously, whilst embracing the wider life of the school through participation in after school activities, residential trips and service learning – in all of this ensuring that they maintain a sense of balance and well-being.
I would like to thank all our Senior School families for the ongoing support you have provided over the last six years and wish Rebekah Russell and the Senior School Leadership team all the very best for the 2019-2020 academic year.
Thank you BSM for the journey over the last six years and best wishes for the future.
