EYFS Christmas show
On Wednesday morning we hosted our second Christmas show of the season as we welcomed our early years to perform for us. Their focus was a Christmas in the Philippines. We opened with a beautiful video showing EYFS Christmas family photos from around the globe. Different traditions, different weather, but the same close family time. Our nursery then were dancing stars, all sparkly in their costumes and performance, for many their first time on stage in the spotlight.
We had Christmas carols sang, notably the 12 days of Christmas, with contributions in Tagalog from a variety of BSM staff. I apologise if you were in the audience and had to listen to my part multiple times, singing has never been my forte!
Jeepneys abound in our country and we had one on a journey home for Christmas, that then morphed into excited reindeer pulling a sleigh through the snow.
Raynald’s hip hop dancers finished up on the basketball court, a staple for every Filipino barangay. Attitude and moves were upfront, with red and green lit basketballs for the spectacular finale.
Rapturous applause followed, with appreciation evident from all present. A performance that had been done without the usual dress rehearsal because of Tuesday’s typhoon, which made it all the more special. Well done Nursery and Reception.
Thank you to the whole team for all their efforts in putting together this wonderful show.
Our final Primary show is on Tuesday evening 10 December at 6pm where our KS2 drama club will be taking to the stage. The invite for this is below:
The Primary School proudly presents the stage adaptation of Roald Dahl’s famous story the BFG. Cast and crew from throughout KS2 are very excited to showcase this performance.
